A perfect morning for the ferry from Port Askaig back to the mainland as we sail through the Sound of Islay between the islands of Islay and Jura. Views to the islay hills and cliffs and from the other side towards the Paps of Jura. The last few photos are the approach to the ferry terminal through Loch West Tarbet.
And yes, there does appear to be a giant white horse in the cliffs of Islay which is only visible at certain times of day depending on the position of the sun and the shadows. It as a natural feature and is known locally as the White Horse of Islay.
