Making the most of the last of the sunshine before it all changes, I ended Sunday with a walk around Shieldaig and then back to some views over Loch Torridon.
Shieldaig (Scottish Gaelic: Sìldeag; Old Norse: síld-vík, lit. 'herring bay').
Following the travels of a 2011 Brazilian Volkswagen Type 2 camper van around the UK. Zoom in/out on the map to see where we have visited. Click on the marker to find the link direct to that page. I will be adding more and more of my locations from the last few years over the coming weeks.

Sunday continued with a drive along the shore of Loch Torridon to the fishing village of Diabaig.
The single track road from Torridon to Lower Diabaig is only 9 miles but there is something different around every corner with stunning views over the Wester Ross hills. The single track road climbs steeply to an altitude of 100 metres where it crosses a dramatic pass called Bealach na Gaoithe.
Loch Clair is bounded to the north by a mountain massif in the Torridon area that contains the highest peak of Beinn Eighe. The imposing peak of Liathach at 1024 metres is the most prominent peak that is visible from Loch Clair.
