Making good use of the free parking at National Trust car parks today by visiting two.
By coincidence, I walked around Trevose head exactly 7 years ago to the day,
In clear weather, visitors to Trevose Head can see virtually the whole length of the north Cornwall coast; to the north, the view extends beyond the Cornwall county boundary to Hartland Point (40 miles (64 km)), Devon; to the south, it extends beyond St Ives to the headland at Pendeen Watch (35 miles (56 km)).
Each of the stacks , collectively known as Bedruthan Steps, has a name and from north to south they are Queen Bess, Samaritan Island, Redcove Island, Pendarves Island, and Carnewas Island. Queen Bess rock was so named as it was supposed to resemble the outline of Queen Elizabeth I, although the head was lost after a storm in 1981.
