Thursday
A walk along the NC500 route east bound from Durness following the coast to Ceannabeinne Beach. On the way I visited the Traigh na h-Uamhag beach (as per photos in the previous post).
Ceannabeinne beach is also known as Traigh Alt Chailgeag, which translates to “beach of the burn of bereavement and death”! The story goes that an old woman was swept down the stream to the beach.
