Cunningsburgh, South Mainland, Shetland

 Shetland day 6

My base for exploring South Mainland has been a touring park at the Marina in Cunningsburgh.

I took a walk around the area and along the shore. Also some photos from previous days taken in the area.

Cunningsburgh, formerly also known as Coningsburgh (Old Norse: Konungsborgr meaning "King's castle"), is a new hamlet and ancient parish in the south of Mainland, Shetland, Scotland. The hamlet is on the coast, nine miles south south west of Lerwick, about halfway between there and Sumburgh Head.
