Peak District Alport Castles walk

An 8 mile hike in the "high peak" area of the Peak District. This walk takes in pretty much everything, starting at the Ladyblower reservoir before climbing to open moorland and taking in the vast Alport castle landslip landscapes, Alport valley and woodlands.

The Alport Castles are a unique landslip and is said to be the largest landslip in the UK produced by shifting land. The largest "The Tower" resembles a motte and bailey castle - hence the name!
