Shetland day 4
A visit to the island of West Burra, connected to the mainland via a Bridge to the island of Tronda and then a second bridge to the West Burra. A rare day in Shetland with hardly any breeze.
A couple of walks on the island.
The first walk to explore the Kettla Ness peninsula across the Banna Minn tombola.
The second walk to me to Meal beach and the village of Hamnavoe.
West Burra is one of the Scalloway Islands, a subgroup of the Shetland Islands. With an area of 743 hectares (1,840 acres), it is the eleventh-largest of the Shetland Islands.
Kettla Ness, Kettlaness or just Kettla is a tied island and headland in Shetland.. It is connected by the tombolo Minn beach (Banna Minn), to the south end of West Burra.
