For a relatively short stretch of the coast path, this section packs a big punch with amazing views, cliffs, beaches and valleys. One of my favourite parts of the Cornwall north coast.
Bossiney Haven (Cornish: Porth Boskyny, meaning cove at Bossiey) is a small cove in the civil parish of Tintagel. It is on the north coast of Cornwall, a mile east of Tintagel and three miles west of Boscastle. An unusual part of the coves cliff is known as the Elephant Rock, where a high vertical arch has formed almost separating a ″narrow trunk of rock from the mainland″.
The South West Coast Path descends into and out of the Rocky valley. It is a little way inland due to the sheer cliffs on the coast; the rocks at the seaward end of the valley are dangerous and people have been swept off by freak waves.
Just having another look at these photos and thinking that we need to add Cornwall to Absinthe's list for next September. More like this please.
