Tatton Park Deer

A deer park since 1290, Tatton's parkland is now home to herds of Red and Fallow deer which roam freely in the wide open spaces.

The red deer is the fourth-largest deer species behind mooseelk and sambar deer

Agile and fast in case of danger, fallow deer can run at a maximum speed of 30 mph over short distances. Fallow deer can also make jumps up to 1.75 m (5.8 ft) high and up to 5 m (17 ft) in length.
