South Ward Muckle Roe

Shetland day 25 & 26

Yesterday was a day of chilling in the sunshine. Today I took a walk back to the island of Muckle Roe and climbed the hill South Ward (one of three peaks, the others called North Ward and Mid Ward).

The last few days I have been staying on the marina at Brae. The sunnier pictures below are various shots from around the area, including Mavis Grind - a narrow isthmus ( narrow piece of land connecting two larger areas across an expanse of water) joining the Northmavine peninsula to the rest of the island of Shetland Mainland. On one side is the Atlantic and on the other is the North Sea.
