A walk along the shore of Grasmere to the corner of Rydal water before a climb up Loughrigg fell, before descending again towards Rydal water and the Rydal cave.
The view from the Loughrigg peak includes the Langdale Pikes and the fells around Grasmere, together with the Fairfield horseshoe and the Coniston Fells. Elter Water, Grasmere and a large part of Windermere can also be seen.
