Before heading furher West, I went to Bude with Joe, Rachel & Aurnia for a couple of hours. Never been before and I am in no rush to get back again although there were a few better bits.
They have a sea swimming pool and there is a canal that leads up to a lock on the beach.
After leaving Bude, I continued along the coast roads West. The pictures below are taken overlooking Widemouth Sands towards Bude. After these, I took a single track road which included some hairpin corners on 30% gradients (Down and then up again).
