Mwnt, Ceredigion

A short walk around Mwnt. Mwnt (Welsh: [ˈmʊnt]) is an ancient parish in Ceredigion, 4.5 miles north of Cardigan.

It gets its name from the prominent steep conical hill (Foel y Mwnt), a landmark from much of Cardigan Bay, that rises above the beach to a height of 76 m (249 ft), and was formerly anglicised as Mount.

Abereiddi Bay

A couple of days enjoying the sunshine and views of Abereiddi Bay.

The beach in the bay is Pebbles and dark sand made of pounded grey slate..

The same slate gives a brilliant deep blue colour to the water in the ‘Blue Lagoon’ – a breached quarry – just to the north of the beach.
